João Menezes is an Electronic Musician and Sound Designer.

João is a proficient Audio Programmer and has conducted workshops and lectures at several Festivals and Conferences in Europe. Furthermore, João had an active role in developing external software libraries for Computer Music and Data Sonification, as well as a core contributor for the Jamoma Framework user library.

Outside Music, João is an avid underwater photographer whose work has been awarded and published in International magazines.

Born in 1989, he graduated with a degree in Electronic Music and Musical Production. In 2012, he earned his MSc in Interactive Music and Sound Design with high distinction from the School of Engineering of the University of Porto. From 2010 to 2014, João was an active member of the Digitopia Collective at the Casa da Música Foundation, Porto. Since 2014, João has been an Instructor of Music in the Music Program at New York University Abu Dhabi.
